Here's Cati getting ready for her second dive of the day.
Things went downhill on Sunday. About 7:30 AM on Sunday while attempting to avoid a collision with the dogs as they were doing their morning wind sprints between the kitchen and front hall Cati jumped out of their way. She successfully avoided the collision but slipped on a puddle of water near the dog’s water bowl dislocating her left ankle and breaking her tibia twice and her fibula once. This type of injury as Dr. David Loncarich tells us is called Trimalleolar Fracture. We made it to Texas Orthopedic Hospital by 8:30 and by 11:00 AM the ankle had been reduced (put back in place) and Cati was admitted in to the hospital and finally given something to help with the pain.
Monday she underwent surgery. I’ll let the photo speak for it’s self.
Here she is Tuesday morning after a "pretty good night".
After 24 hours of recovery in the hospital we made it home around 3:30 on Tuesday.
She’s confined to bed but happy to be here with her dogs and back at work.
